ASTM International is marking 2007 as the Year of the Student. Through an ongoing series of academic outreach initiatives, ASTM's goal is to build greater awareness of standardization for both students and educators worldwide.
Highlighting the Year of the Student campaign will be:
• Launch of the newly designed ASTM Campus, a special area of the ASTM website geared toward students and educators • Continued opportunities for free student membership in ASTM International, including a new range of benefits and incentives
• New product offerings aimed at helping professors and instructors use standards in their courses, throughout their department or campus-wide • University and college campus visits by ASTM members and staff, where students can gain first-hand perspectives on standardization
